Oklahoma has for a long time been analogous with Bingo. That is because the Indian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for years. Guests from every one of the nearby states pile in automobiles and travel to Oklahoma to play Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a precedent setting determination by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. From that instance, 23 of the thirty nine Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have introduced bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian band to take advantage of the gambling rules, and today operate ten casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. digital games like one armed bandits weren’t permitted, owing to the fact that they are thought to lead to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma law has changed to allow for big Indian betting casinos. You’ll now find Amerindian gambling halls with slot machine games, video poker and black jack tables. Craps and roulette are still not approved in the American Indian casinos as of yet, but that is only a waiting game. Nobody can say what having different casino games in the bingo houses will do for the popularity of bingo.
